ICOM Europe will hold its first online plenary meeting of the 2025–2028 term on 8 January 2026, bringing together the ICOM Europe Board and the Chairs of European National Committees.

This meeting will mark the beginning of a new working cycle and provide an opportunity to present the Board’s approach, exchange priorities, and strengthen dialogue across the European network.

Opening by the ICOM Europe chair

• Brief introduction of the members of the newly elected ICOM Europe Board
• Overview of the current state of the work programme and proposed working methods, including:

• • Regular coordination meetings

  • Information and communication tools (website, newsletter, social media, messaging platforms)

  • Networking among National Committees

  • Annual meetings and shared initiatives

• ICOM-related updates, including:

  • SAREC calls and opportunities

  • Regional Alliances meeting (6 February 2026)

  • Upcoming meeting with Antonio Rodrigues, newly elected president of ICOM. 

Round-table discussion with National Committees

• Introduction of participating Chairs
• Presentation of ongoing or planned projects
• Identification of priority issues and areas for cooperation

Strengthening Collaboration Across Europe

This plenary meeting is intended as an open space for exchange and collective reflection, enabling European National Committees to contribute actively to shaping ICOM Europe’s priorities for the coming years.

ICOM Europe warmly invites all Chairs to participate and share their perspectives, projects, and expectations as the new term begins.
