ICOM has launched a call for applications for members to serve on its Standing Committees for the 2026–2028 term of office.

ICOM Europe encourages National and International Committees, Regional Alliances, and individual members to share this opportunity widely and to support qualified candidates in applying.

Committees open for applications

Applications are invited for the following Standing Committees:

• ETHCOM – Ethics Committee
• FIREC – Finance and Resources Committee
• LEAC – Legal Affairs Committee
• SAREC – Strategic Allocation Review Committee

These committees play an important role in supporting ICOM’s work in ethics, finance and resources, legal affairs, and strategic planning.

Who can apply?

ICOM welcomes applications from members who:

• Bring relevant expertise or professional experience
• Wish to actively contribute to ICOM’s governance and development
• Represent the diversity of the global museum community
• Can work in English, the primary working language of the committees

To support inclusive participation, ICOM is exploring digital tools to facilitate multilingual meetings.
